We believe in educating the family as well as the patient with the scientific basis of addiction. The family best knows the patient's personality profile and history. When empowered, the family can greatly assist our physicians in providing an accurate diagnosis of any underlying brain chemistry issues which are the cause of craving. Family resentment toward the patient usually subsides after their participation in our "brain chemistry workshop."
